I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry & Molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I earned my Doctorate in Medicine from St. Matthew’s University, School of Medicine and completed my family medicine residency training at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Ferri M. Habib was born In Tehran. She earned her MBBS from Dow Medical University. She competed her pediatric training in hospitals in London, Karachi and Dublin. For several years she worked as a pediatrician, researcher, and the medical director for two international pharmaceutical companies (American and French). She subsequently became interested in public health, especially with children. She came to the United States and began her training at Harvard University. She completed a tropical medicine certificate at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She then earned a Master of Health Sciences; in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins University. She continued her work in Pediatrics and completed her residency in Ohio. She is a board certified pediatrician. She worked in Ohio prior to moving to Reston, and joined the Virginia Pediatric Group. Dr. Ferri M. Habib is a member of several organizations including AAP, HANDS (Health and Nutrition Development Society), Spouse member of Young Presidents Organization, Alumnus of Harvard school of Public Health , Alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, Alumnae-I-Network for Harvard Women. Dr. Sami is a practicing pediatrician in Arlington VA. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as the AAP Council on Early Childhood and the AAP Section on Obesity.
